Sheosar Lake is located in Deosai Plains at an elevation of 4,142 metres (13,589 ft), is one of the highest lakes in the world. Its length is 2.3 kilometres (7,500 ft), width 1.8 kilometres (5,900 ft) and average depth 40 metres (130 ft). A heart shaped lake among the vast plains of Deosai with colourful flowers around its boundary is a beauty worth camping around. Nights of Sheosar are filled with shooting stars and eye dazzling milky-ways. In winters this beauty gets frozen but rarely visited by the tourists beacuse of the harsh weather and snow storms at Deosai plains. In clear weather one can see Nanga Parbat from Sheosar Lake; its a scene thats very rare. But if someone's lucky Nanga Parbat emerges like a giant in the backdrop of this majestic lake.
