Kashal Agri is an initiative by local community for the preservation of all the fruit species in the region. Stretching for acres along the Shyok River; its the largest garden in Gilgit Baltistan. One enters here with a perfect canopy of Cedar Trees; which turns into a fairyland during the autumn season. In summers it offers the most succulent cherries and apricots. With newly built huts along the Shyok River and a variety of organic local cuisines; Kashal Agri is a pioneer in farm to table model in the region. Here you can retreat in heart of nature, resonate with the natural clock and witness the marvels of universe in their purest form. Its a perfect site for yoga, wellness, silence and spiritual retreats. Its about a journey of 2-3 hours from Skardu, once you pass through signature view of Cedar Canopy at either ends of road, the village of Ghawari hides this surreal gem.
