Sosbun Brakk

A Granite Symmetry

Sosbun Brakk is a granite tower of 6413m, emerging dramatically above flat ice sheet of Biafo Glacier. Sosbun Brakk was first climbed in 1983 by a Japanese expedition. It also hides Sokha Pass in its shoulders – connecting Snow Lake to Basha valley; shortest route to Snow Lake Trek.

Sosbun Brakk is quite symmetric with twin granite towers piercing the blue skies are placed right at the curve of Snow Lake on Biafo Glacier. Its sheer prominence from Snow Lake is quite picturesque and at the same time equally difficult to capture.
